Remove croursem.co.in ads

croursem.co.in is a deceptive website that misuses a legitimate browser feature to spam users’ desktops with ads. When you get redirected to the site, you will immediately see a browser alert saying “croursem.co.in wants to show notifications”, and if you click “Allow”, you will authorize the site to show ads on your desktop. Fortunately, you can easily revoke this permission in your browser’s settings.

The notifications feature can be quite useful, provided that the website you grant permission to is legitimate. By clicking “Allow” on a legitimate site, you will receive notifications containing content from the site. For instance, a news site would alert you to significant news stories. If you decide you no longer want to receive notifications from a certain site, you can easily revoke permission via your notification settings. If you are unsure about how to do this, instructions are available at the end of the report.

However, some sites, like croursem.co.in, misuse this feature to bombard users with ads. Upon visiting such sites, you will immediately see a browser notification requesting permission to show notifications. croursem.co.in does not have any content on it, so allowing notifications from this site results in unwanted advertisements appearing on your desktop. It is recommended to refrain from engaging with these ads as they may expose you to harmful content, including scams and malware. The ads can be strategically designed to look like legitimate system notifications, making them easy to mistake for legitimate alerts. If you have given the site permission to show notifications, make sure to revoke it.

If you find yourself being redirected unexpectedly, use WiperSoft to scan your computer for adware infections. If the scan identifies any adware, be sure to remove it to prevent further redirects. If no adware is found, install an ad blocker to help stop redirects and pop-ups when visiting ad-heavy sites.

Random redirects can be a sign of adware

In most cases, these redirects are triggered by visiting high-risk, ad-heavy sites. Websites with adult or pirated content tend to bombard users with potentially dangerous ads, as well as trigger these unwanted redirects. The best way to handle this problem is to install an ad blocker to prevent redirects and intrusive ads from appearing.

In cases where the redirects happen regularly, your computer might indeed be affected by adware. While it’s a relatively minor issue compared to other threats, it can still be quite bothersome. The good news is that adware won’t directly harm your computer; instead, it exposes you to sponsored content.

Adware and related infections, like browser hijackers and potentially unwanted programs, often come bundled with popular free programs as additional offers. These offers are set to install automatically without your permission. This is known as software bundling. This method is generally considered to be quite contravercial as it allows unwanted applications to be installed without explicit permission. Although these offers are technically optional, they have to be manually deselected.

To prevent these unwanted installations, you need to deselect all offers. When installing free programs, you will be recommended to use Default settings. However, opting for Default will hide these additional offers, allowing them to install automatically. Instead, choose the Advanced or Custom settings, which will reveal all offers and give you the option to deselect them. Regardless of whether an offer seems beneficial or not, make sure to deselect it. Legitimate programs will not use deceptive bundling methods, so if you permit these installations, your computer could become cluttered with unwanted programs that may be difficult to remove later.

How to remove croursem.co.in ads

If the redirects are frequent, scan your computer using anti-virus software like WiperSoft, as it could indicate an adware presence. If the program identifies any adware, removing it will stop the redirects. Dealing with adware can be quite annoying, so using an anti-virus program is usually the simplest way. You should also install an ad blocker program.
