vwrtj.click is a scam site designed to trick you into enabling desktop ads. When redirected to the site, you’ll see a browser alert saying “vwrtj.click wants to show notifications”. This feature is legitimate, and granting permission allows vwrtj.click to display notifications on your desktop. But those notifications will mostly be ads. Some of these ads could also be harmful, exposing you to malware or scams. If you’ve already allowed it, you should revoke the permission immediately through your browser’s settings. Instructions to help you are provided at the end of this report if needed.
vwrtj.click appears is an empty site whose sole purpose is to trick users into allowing ads on the desktop. When you get redirected to the site, you will immediately get a browser alert saying “vwrtj.click wants to show notifications”. If you give the site this permission, it will start spamming ads on the desktop. The biggest issue with these ads is that they could expose you to potentially dangerous content, including malware and scams. Thus, if you have given the site permission, do not interact with any notifications and revoke the permission as soon as possible.
While “show notifications” is a legitimate browser feature and has its uses, malicious sites like vwrtj.click exploit it. Notifications from secure and trusted websites, such as news platforms, can be helpful. But users need to be very selective about which sites should get the permission.
Additionally, redirects to such sites may stem from adware infections, which is why we recommend you scan your system with an antivirus program like WiperSoft, as removing adware manually can be challenging. If you have allowed notifications from vwrtj.click, you need to revoke this permission. Detailed instructions for revoking permissions can be found at the end of this report.
What triggers redirects to sites like vwrtj.click?
Random redirects commonly occur for two main reasons. In most cases, redirects are triggered by users visiting questionable websites without an adblocker program. Many sites, particularly those hosting pirated or adult content, bombard users with advertisements and frequently trigger redirects. However, a reliable adblocker can effectively block both ads and redirects, significantly enhancing the browsing experience.
If adware is what triggers the redirects, there should also be an increase in regular ads. These types of infections are often installed via a method known as software bundling. The way the method works is that adware and browser hijackers are included as additional offers with free programs. These offers are automatically installed unless manually deselected during the installation process. Unfortunately, the offers are hidden in settings that users rarely check, making the offers easy to miss. It’s considered to be a rather deceptive installation method because of this.
If you want to prevent these unwanted installations, you only need to select Advanced (Custom) settings instead of Default when installing free programs. Advanced settings reveal all bundled offers, giving you the option to deselect them. Keep in mind that legitimate programs do not use software bundling. It’s strongly recommended to deselect all bundled offers, even if they appear useful. It is also worth noting that programs using software bundling are frequently detected as potential threats by antivirus software.

It is recommended to use WiperSoft anti-virus software to check your computer for potential adware infections. While adware is not a serious threat, adware can be quite persistent. It’s easiest to get rid of it using anti-virus programs. Furthermore, installing an ad blocker is a good idea to prevent all ads, including redirects.
