Ckshireallow.biz redirect removal

Ckshireallow.biz is one of many highly questionable websites that try to spam users with ads. The site is pushing a social-engineering scam that essentially tries to trick users into agreeing to see ads. When you get redirected to Ckshireallow.biz, a browser pop-up will appear saying “Ckshireallow.biz wants to show notifications”. If you click “Allow”, you will start seeing advertisements on your desktop.

While loads of scam websites use this feature, it’s actually a legitimate feature that has legitimate purposes. The way this “show notifications” feature works is when users give a site permission, it can show users notifications on the desktop. For example, you can allow a news website to display alerts about important news stories directly on your desktop. Or you can allow another website you frequent to show notifications and it would keep you informed about whatever the site is about without you having to visit it regularly.

But unsurprisingly, Ckshireallow.biz and similar websites are misusing this feature to spam users with ads. Essentially, when they get permission, instead of useful notifications, they show ads. The site is disguised as a sports news website so users may think that it would show sports-related notifications. However, what it would end up showing is ads, potentially dangerous ones at that. The notifications would appear bottom-right corner of the screen, similarly to where legitimate system alerts would appear. Those ads would promote all kinds of scams and programs. It’s not impossible for users to be tricked into downloading something malicious, so be careful if you have allowed Ckshireallow.biz to show notifications.

There could be a couple of reasons why you are redirected to sites like Ckshireallow.biz, either your computer is infected with adware, or you browse high-risk websites. In the case of the latter, simply installing adblocker can help prevent future redirects. If it’s adware, you will need to get rid of it to remove Ckshireallow.biz redirects permanently.

Why are you being redirected

If you get random redirects only when browsing certain websites, it’s probably the site that’s causing issues. Be careful when visiting sites that have pornography or pirated content because they are usually the ones that have questionable ads. At the very least, install adblocker.

However, if you’re dealing with adware, you would be redirected over and over again, even when visiting seemingly safe sites. Adware is a pretty minor infection that mainly shows ads. It installs via free software bundling, meaning it comes attached to free software as an extra offer. Because the offers are permitted to install alongside the freeware without requiring additional permission, this is considered to be a rather sneaky installation method. Keep in mind that most free programs will have these extra offers attached. Fortunately, it’s not difficult to prevent their installations. All you need to do is opt for Advanced (Custom) settings during freeware installation and make sure you deselect whatever has been added. Keep in mind that you should always use Advanced settings when installing programs. While the installation window may claim that Default are the recommended options, those settings will hide the offers, thus allowing them to install automatically. And while some offers may seem useful at first, you should not allow their installation. They will not only be useless but also difficult to get rid of once installed.
