How to remove Chardnadze.space ads

Chardnadze.space is a fake sports news website that pushes a social engineering scam to trick users into agreeing to see ads on their desktop. The site will display a notification saying “Chardnadze.space wants to show notifications”, and clicking “Allow” would trigger intrusive ads that may be dangerous to interact with.

When you get redirected to Chardnadze.space, you will notice that it’s supposed to be some kind of sports news website. To access its contents according to the site, you need to allow notifications. As soon as the site loads, a browser alert will appear saying “Chardnadze.space wants to show notifications”. There’s really no reason to allow these notifications, but if you do, ads will start appearing on your desktop. The site, like many others, is essentially misusing a legitimate browser feature that allows sites with users’ permission to show notifications on the desktop. Only instead of useful content, Chardnadze.space shows ads. We don’t recommend interacting with them because you could be exposed to potentially dangerous content, such as malware. The sooner you revoke the site’s permission to show notifications, the better. If you don’t know how to do that, you can use the directions provided at the very end of the report.

It should be mentioned that as long as a site is legitimate, allowing it to show notifications is perfectly safe. The contents of the notifications will vary depending on what the site usually posts. For example, if it’s a news website, the alerts will contain important news.

Because it’s possible that adware is currently infecting your computer and triggering the redirects, we strongly suggest you use anti-virus software like WiperSoft to scan the computer. If adware is detected, the program would get rid of it, thus stopping the redirects.

Adware is often behind random redirects

In most cases, users are redirected by the sites they visit. Some sites are considered to be high-risk due to the ads and sponsored content they have, and interacting with them can trigger redirects to potentially dangerous sites, such as Chardnadze.space. It’s usually sites that have pornography or pirated content that can trigger these redirects. Browsing them without an adblocker program can be tricky, so we recommend you install one.

However, if you’re redirected randomly, your computer may have adware installed. Adware is a relatively minor infection and should not cause harm. But it is a pest that your computer would be better off without. For the future, keep in mind that adware and similar infections install together with free software. They come attached as extra offers and are permitted to install alongside automatically unless you manually prevent them from doing so. To do that, opt for Advanced (Custom) settings when given the option during freeware installation. Those settings will make all extra offers visible, and you will be able to deselect all of them. Simply uncheck the boxes of those offers and then continue installing the program. Some of those offers may seem useful at first sight but allowing their installation would be a mistake, considering safe programs do not try to sneak past you in this way.
