Remove korvixnaro.co.in pop-up notifications

korvixnaro.co.in is a fraudulent website designed to deceive users into enabling desktop notifications. Upon being redirected to the site, users are immediately presented with a browser alert saying “korvixnaro.co.in wants to show notifications”. The website exploits a legitimate browser feature that permits authorized sites to display notifications on users’ desktops, typically containing newly-posted content. However, korvixnaro.co.in, along with thousands of similar sites, abuses this feature to display advertisements on desktops. We should also mention that these advertisements are not only intrusive and bothersome but may also expose users to potentially harmful content, including malware.

Thousands of sites like korvixnaro.co.in misuse this “show notifications” feature, and granting permission to every site is not a good idea. korvixnaro.co.in, in particular, should not be allowed to display notifications on your desktop. Upon being redirected to korvixnaro.co.in, a browser alert will appear saying “korvixnaro.co.in wants to show notifications”. Given the dubious nature of this site, notifications will be problematic ads, including malicious ones. These ads will be displayed in a similar place to legitimate system notifications, which can confuse users and increase the likelihood of users interacting with them. Some ads may even imitate legitimate notifications to deceive users. Therefore, if you have granted notification permissions to this site, it is strongly recommended to avoid interacting with them and to revoke permissions as soon as possible.

To stop the redirects, it is recommended to do a thorough scan of the computer using anti-virus software such as WiperSoft to check for adware. If adware is detected, its removal will prevent further redirects. Alternatively, if redirects originate from the websites you visit, installing an ad blocker will block them.

Random redirects can be triggered by an adware infection

Most often, redirects to websites like korvixnaro.co.in are caused by visiting high-risk sites. For example, sites hosting adult or pirated content are notorious for bombarding users with highly questionable advertisements. If you want to block these redirects as well as regular ads, simply install an adblocker program.

Another possible cause of these redirects is an adware infection. Adware, browser hijackers, and potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) often get installed via software bundling without users even noticing. This method involves bundling these infections with popular free programs as optional offers, which are set to install automatically without requiring explicit user consent. Although these offers are technically optional, they must be manually deselected to prevent their installation.

If you want to prevent these unwanted installations, select Advanced or Custom settings when installing free programs. Default settings conceal these offers, allowing them to be installed without your explicit consent. Advanced settings, however, reveal all optional offers and give you the option to deselect all of them.

Even if certain offers appear beneficial initially, make sure to deselect all of them. Once installed, such programs can be troublesome to remove. Preventing their installation by unchecking a few boxes during setup is far simpler.
