How to remove Ttodayasthe.fun redirects

Ttodayasthe.fun is a highly questionable website that will ask to show you notifications. If you press “Allow” on the pop-up message that says “Ttodayasthe.fun wants to show notifications”, you will start seeing loads of advertisements, even on your desktop.

Ttodayasthe.fun is a pretty random website that mainly tries to spam you with advertisements. It claims to be some kind of sports news site but that’s only a ruse to trick users. When you get redirected to Ttodayasthe.fun, your browser will show a pop-up informing you that that site wants to show notifications. Supposedly, if you allow it, it would show you news related to sports without you having to visit the site. However, in reality it would show you advertisements, potentially dangerous ones at that.

This whole allowing sites to show notifications is a legitimate browser feature, and is used by many reliable websites. If you want to see important news alerts on your desktop, you could allow a trustworthy news website to show notifications. If you want to be informed about new travel destinations, discounts and other related news, you could allow a travel site to show notifications. But unsurprisingly, questionable sites like Ttodayasthe.fun are misusing this feature to expose users to ads.

The thing about the ads shown by sites like Ttodayasthe.fun is that they can expose you to potentially dangerous content. They may also be purposely made to appear like legitimate system notifications and even appear at a similar place. So you could accidentally end up downloading something malicious that was initially disguised as for example, an update.

It’s important to determine why you are redirected to the site in order to stop the redirects. If you are dealing with adware, an actual infection that’s present on your computer, you will need to get rid of it to remove Ttodayasthe.fun redirects permanently. If you’re randomly redirected by a site you’re using, just install adblocker or avoid visiting those sites. And if you have given the site permission to show notifications, you need to remove Ttodayasthe.fun from the list. If you’re not familiar with how to do that, we will provide instructions at the very bottom of the report to help you.

It’s important to determine why you’re being redirected to Ttodayasthe.fun

There could be a couple of reasons for being redirected to sites like Ttodayasthe.fun. Either your computer has an adware infection, or you were browsing a high-risk website that triggered it. If it’s the latter, there’s nothing you need to do besides installing adblocker. Certain sites can bring about these redirects so if you avoid visiting them or at least have adblocker, you should be alright. Those sites usually include ones that host pornography and/or pirated content.

If adware is present on the computer, it’s an actual infection that’s causing the redirects so getting rid of it will stop them. Adware isn’t a particularly serious infections, nor does it actively try to harm the computer. It installs via freeware bundles, meaning it can come attached to free software as an extra offer that’s permitted to install alongside. The offers are hidden and set to install alongside, despite them being optional. If you want to prevent their installation, you need to use Advanced (Custom) settings when installing free programs. Those settings will make all offers visible, and you will be able to deselect all of them. All you really need to do is uncheck the boxes.
