How to remove Redirect

How to remove Redirect

What is this threat? is a browser hijacker capable of changing your browser’s settings without your permission. If you find it loading as your homepage when you launch your browser, you probably have a browser hijacker on your system. It’s not a serious infection yet but if you allow it to remain, it could lead you to malicious software and that would be a very serious contamination. We think that you obtained the infection when you were installing freeware and simply did not notice that it had the hijacker attached to it. You need to pay closer attention to how you install freeware from now on. Once the hijacker changes your browser’s settings, it will proceed to redirect you to sponsored content because it exists to do that. Some of those redirects could lead you to malicious sites and that may result in a malware infection. That should be reason enough for you to remove

Hijacker spread methods

All hijackers use the same spread method and that is free software bundles. A hijacker, adware and other kinds of potentially unwanted programs (PUP) will be attached to free software as extra offers and unless you deselect them manually, they will install alongside the freeware. So to prevent unwanted installations, choose Advanced or Custom settings. Those settings will allow you to view if anything has been added and if there is, you will have to option of deselecting everything. Make sure you uncheck all extra offers because they do not belong on your computer. They are hiding for a reason.

Why uninstall

Just like any other browser hijacker, this one will make changes to your browser the moment it enters your device. It will set its promoted web page as your homepage and new tabs, as well as encourage you to use a different homepage. First thing you might do when you notice this happening is change the settings back. However, you will quickly realize that the hijacker will simply change them again. So you will not be able to undo the setting changes unless you first delete It should also be noted that the hijacker will affect all leading browsers, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. As is usual with hijackers, your new homepage will have a search box on it and you will be promoted to use some questionable search engine. Using it should be the last thing you do. It could be inserting sponsored content into the results so that you would be redirected and that could lead you to downloading malware. If you want to avoid that, remove removal

To be able to fully uninstall, you may need to obtain professional removal software. The program would find and delete Bohemian Rhapsody for you. If you go with manual removal, you will have to search for the hijacker yourself, and that may take more time than you realize.
