Remove Svip Center Plus
What is Svip Center Plus
Svip Center Plus is a browser hijacker targeting Mac computers. Browser hijackers are pretty minor computer infections that make unwanted changes to browsers and try to redirect users to sponsored websites. You will immediately notice if this hijacker is present on your computer because it will set its website svip-center.com as your homepage. Every time you open your browser you will be redirected to that page. It will try to get you to use the provided search engine, which would insert sponsored content into results in order to redirect you. It should be noted that while hijackers are not malicious infections, their redirects can lead to serious issues. You could be redirected to websites that host malware or promote scams. And in any case, hijackers aren’t useful to you in any way and have no beneficial features. For the benefit of your Mac computer, you should delete Svip Center Plus.
It’s more than likely that the hijacker entered your computer together with free software you installed. A lot of additional offers are attached to free software in a way that allows them to install alongside unless you manually prevent them from doing so. The offers include adware, browser hijackers and potentially unwanted programs (PUPs). Read the following section of the report to find out how you can prevent these unwanted installations.
How to prevent hijackers from installing
As we have mentioned above, browser hijackers come added to free software as additional offers. Those offers are preselected by default which allows them to install alongside the freeware without needing explicit permission from you. To prevent these unwanted installations, you need to pay attention to how you install free programs. The additional offers will be hidden from you if you use Default settings, so you need to opt for Advanced (Custom) settings when given the option.
Advanced will make all added offers visible, and you will be able to deselect all of them. If the settings show anything attached, you need to uncheck it/them. Unchecking the boxes is all it really takes.
If you want to avoid filling your computer with junk programs, you need to pay attention to what you install and how you do it. Unchecking a couple of boxes does not take long, while uninstalling pesky infections may take a while.
What does the hijacker do?
As soon as it installs, the hijacker will change your browser’s settings. It will attach itself to popular browsers like Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, and set its website as the homepage. These changes are performed without explicit permission and are difficult to reverse while the hijacker is still installed. Until you get rid of the hijacker, you will be redirected to the hijacker’s website every time you open your browser.
Using the site set as your homepage is not a good idea as the hijacker is likely trying to redirect you. The main reason hijackers exist in the first place is to redirect users to sponsored websites. They do that via questionable search engines, by inserting sponsored content into search results.
While hijackers are relatively harmless themselves, their redirects are a different story. You could be redirected to a website that hosts malware or is promoting scams. And in general, you gain nothing from being redirected, thus this kind of behavior should not be permitted.

In order to uninstall Svip Center Plus, you might need to use anti-spyware software. This would be the quickest and easiest way to get rid of the hijacker as the program would do everything for you.
