How to delete Rletitertha.fun ads

Rletitertha.fun is one of many websites pushing a social engineering scam aiming to trick users into subscribing to advertisements. It’s a very common scam, employed by many websites, such as Pigrod.host, Kokotrokot.com, and Newsfortoday.xyz. Rletitertha.fun will display a browser alert saying “Rletitertha.fun wants to show notifications”. If you agree to these notifications, you can expect to start seeing advertisements on your desktop. Those ads are harmless, as long as you do not interact with them. You can easily revoke the permission to show those notifications.

What is Rletitertha.fun?

If you spent any time on the Internet, you will likely realize that Rletitertha.fun is a very obvious scam website. Its main purpose is to expose you to as much advertisement content as possible. And in order to do that, it offers to show you notifications. In this case, notifications mean advertisements. The site may try to disguise them as some kind of useful content such as news articles in order to trick you into clicking that “Allow” button, but it will be ads, and not necessarily safe ones at that. Since the notifications appear at a similar place to legitimate system alerts, it may be possible to confuse the two. They could also be purposely made to appear like legitimate notifications. For example, one such ad may claim that you need to urgently install an update and provide a link for it. But instead of an update, you would end up downloading some kind of potentially unwanted program, or worse – malware. But as long as you don’t interact with those ads, they will not be able to do harm. You also need to remove Rletitertha.fun from the list of sites that have permission to show ads. This is fortunately not difficult to do, and you can find instructions at the very end of the report.

Despite the fact that sites like Rletitertha.fun misuse the notifications, it’s a legitimate feature that has legitimate uses. As long as the site asking for permission to show notifications is legitimate, giving it permission is safe. The notifications a site will show depends on the contents the site usually posts. If you allow a news website to show notifications, it will show alerts related to important news. Clicking on the notifications would take you directly to the article. When you no longer wish to see the notifications, you can revoke that permission.

In some cases, redirects to sites like Rletitertha.fun can be caused by infections like adware. The easiest way to find out what’s causing them is to scan the computer with anti-virus software, such as WiperSoft. If nothing is detected, you may need to review your browsing habits, as redirects can be triggered by high-risk websites you visit.

Redirects to Rletitertha.fun can indicate an adware infection

To determine why you’re being redirected, you need to pay attention to when it happens. If you get redirected when browsing certain websites, it’s likely that the sites are at fault. Installing an adblocker program can usually help stop the redirects in cases like this.

However, if you are redirected regularly, even when browsing safe sites, it’s possible you have an adware-like infection on your computer. Until you get rid of the adware, the redirects will continue. To avoid future infections, it’s important that you learn how adware and similar infections install. They usually use software bundling to install, a method that allows them to come attached to free software as extra offers and automatically install alongside. If you want to prevent unwanted installations when installing freeware, always opt for Advanced (Custom) settings when given the option. Those settings will make all offers visible, and you will be able to deselect all of them. Simply unchecking the boxes of those offers is enough.
