Remove Arfanbajt.xyz ads

Arfanbajt.xyz is a pretty generic website that tries to trick users into allowing ads on the desktop. It misuses a legitimate browser feature to do this, which is why your browser will show an alert saying “Arfanbajt.xyz wants to show notifications”. This feature allows websites to show push notifications on the desktop. Only instead of interesting content, sites like Arfanbajt.xyz show advertisements. And not all of them are safe to interact with because they could expose you to scams and malware.

The feature that the site is misusing is legitimate, and it’s safe to allow sites to show notifications as long as the site itself is safe. What kind of content a site would show in its notifications depends on what the site usually posts. For example, a website that focuses on entertainment news will show alerts with news in them. A site focused on travel would show notifications with information about new travel destinations or discounts.

However, when a scam site like Arfanbajt.xyz asks to show notifications, nothing good will come of it. First of all, the site itself doesn’t have any kind of content. It merely displays a picture of a couple of celebrities and shows a message saying you should allow notifications. Immediately upon entering the site, your browser will show an alert saying “Arfanbajt.xyz wants to show notifications”. If you give the site this permission, you will start seeing advertisements on the desktop. The notifications will show nothing of use to you. In fact, they will mostly be advertisements. We don’t recommend interacting with them because you could be exposed to potentially dangerous content. The notifications may ask you to download some kind of malicious program disguised as something useful. Or you could be tricked into falling for a scam. If you did give it permission, the sooner you delete Arfanbajt.xyz from the list of sites that have it, the better. We have provided instructions at the end of the report in case you need help.

To determine why you are redirected, we suggest scanning the computer with anti-virus software like WiperSoft. If your computer is infected with adware, only removing it would stop the redirects. However, if no adware is detected, install an adblocker program to block pop-ups and redirects.

Reasons why you are redirected to sites like Arfanbajt.xyz

There are a couple of reasons why you could be randomly redirected to questionable sites like Arfanbajt.xyz. It’s possible that your computer is infected with adware. But the more likely scenario is you visiting high-risk websites that randomly trigger pop-ups and redirects. If the latter is the case, install an adblocker program to block pop-ups and redirects when you visit certain websites. For example, sites that have pornography or pirated content are considered to be high-risk due to the ads they host. If you visit those sites, make sure adblocker is enabled.

In rarer cases, it may be an adware that’s the issue. Adware is a relatively harmless infection that mainly focuses on exposing users to as much advertisement content as possible. If it is adware, the redirects will be much more common and happen out of the blue. If adware is indeed installed on your computer, you are likely unaware of how such infections spread. Adware, browser hijackers, and potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) come attached to free software as extra offers in a way that allows them to install alongside automatically unless you manually prevent them. The offers are optional but many users simply do not notice them, thus are unable to deselect them.

To correctly install free software and prevent infections, you need to pay attention when installing freeware. Most importantly, you need to use Advanced (Custom) settings instead of Default. The installation window will recommend using Default but those settings will hide the offers, allowing them to install alongside automatically when you install the freeware. Advanced settings, on the other hand, will make all offers visible, and you will have the option to deselect all of them. We recommend always deselecting the offers because even if they appear useful at first sight, they will not benefit you in any way.

Software bundling is not a reliable installation method and programs that use it should not be installed on your computer. The method essentially allows programs to install without your permission, and programs that try to sneak in like this do not belong on your computer.

Arfanbajt.xyz removal

Random redirects to Arfanbajt.xyz don’t happen without a reason. Most likely either your computer is infected with adware or a similar infection, or you browse high-risk websites. Determining what’s causing the issues would be easiest by scanning your computer with anti-virus software like WiperSoft. If adware is detected, removing it would stop the redirects. However, if no adware is detected, install an adblocker program to block the redirects and ads when you browse high-risk websites.

Lastly, if you have given the site permission to show notifications, you should revoke that permission as soon as possible.
