Remove jenonubaz.sbs notifications

jenonubaz.sbs is one of thousands of websites that misuse a legitimate browser feature to spam users’ desktops with ads. If you get redirected to the site, you will immediately get a browser alert saying “jenonubaz.sbs wants to show notifications”, and if you click “Allow”, the site will begin spamming desktop ads. These ads could expose you to potentially dangerous content, such as malware and scams. Thus, jenonubaz.sbs should not be given permission.

jenonubaz.sbs only displays the Google Chrome logo along with a message saying “Google Chrome Security Check”. When you access the site, you will immediately see a browser alert saying “jenonubaz.sbs wants to show notifications”. If you click “Allow”, you will start receiving advertisements on your desktop. These ads/notifications will appear on the right side of your screen, similar to legitimate notifications. Do not interact with these notifications, as doing so could expose you to harmful content, including scams and malware. If you’ve granted permission to the site, you can easily revoke it through your browser settings. If you’re unsure how to do this, detailed instructions are provided at the end of the report.

If you experience unexpected redirects, especially if they happen regularly, your computer may have adware. While this isn’t a serious issue, it can be quite bothersome. Run a scan with WiperSoft to check. If adware is found, removing it will stop the redirects. If no adware is detected, install an adblocker program.

What is triggering redirects to random websites?

If you find yourself being redirected to sites like jenonubaz.sbs, it could be due to adware on your computer. However, visiting high-risk websites without an adblocker is more likely what triggers them. Many questionable sites expose users to harmful ads. For example, websites with pornographic or pirated content are typically classified as ad-heavy, as they spam a lot of ads and trigger redirects. Installing an adblocker can usually help fix this issue.

While it is less common, adware infections can also be responsible for these issues. Adware and similar threats, like browser hijackers, can come bundled with popular free programs as optional offers, which are set to install alongside automatically. This practice, known as software bundling, is controversial since it allows unwanted programs to be installed without explicit user consent. Many programs using this method are flagged as potential threats by anti-virus programs. Although these additional offers are technically optional, they are hidden, making it challenging for users to deselect them. However, if users know how to install free programs correctly, they can easily avoid these unwanted installations.

To prevent the installation of these bundled offers, you must first make them visible when installing free programs. When installing programs, you have the choice between Default (Basic) or Advanced (Custom) settings. The installation window usually recommends Default settings, which hide all additional offers and permit their installation by default. By selecting Advanced settings, you can view all added offers and choose to deselect them. It’s best to uncheck everything since these offers generally provide no real value and can be quite troublesome to remove once they have been installed.

How to remove jenonubaz.sbs notifications

Depending on the reason for the random redirections, it might be necessary to run a scan of your computer using an anti-virus program such as WiperSoft. Adware infections can be difficult to remove manually, so it’s recommended to use an anti-virus program. If the redirects are caused by dubious websites you’ve visited, install an adblocker program. This will help to prevent not only redirects but also intrusive ads.
