togerspas.com is a deceptive website, identical to thousands of other sites that misuse a legitimate browser feature that allows sites with permission to show notifications on users’ desktops. This is why you will get a browser alert saying “togerspas.com wants to show notifications” when you enter the site. However, unlike legitimate sites, if togerspas.com is given permission, it shows ads on the desktop. What’s more, those ads could expose you to potentially malicious content, including scams and malware.

 

 

togerspas.com is a very generic site with no content on it. It will only display a message saying you need to click “Allow” to prove you’re not a robot. A browser notification will also pop up, saying “togerspas.com wants to show notifications”. If you click “Allow”, you’ll start receiving notifications on your desktop, which will mainly consist of intrusive ads. Given the questionable nature of the site, these ads may be even more dubious. If you’ve accidentally permitted these notifications, do not click on them. These ads might try to convince you to install dubious or potentially harmful programs, or they may lead you to scams. It’s best to remove togerspas.com from your notifications list as soon as possible.

We should note that the “show notifications” feature is entirely legitimate when used by reputable sites. Allowing notifications can be safe, as they’re usually just the content the site with permission posts. For example, a news site would provide news alerts. Review which sites have permission and remove togerspas.com and any other questionable websites. You can permanently turn off these notification requests by toggling off “Ask before sending”.
